Tower Defense X: BETA Tower Defense X Tools
Plan loadouts and pick your next grind mode without guessing.
These tools are decision guides, not in-game calculators. They help you answer two common TDX questions: “Do I have the right towers for this difficulty?” and “What mode should I farm next?”
Tower Defense X scales hard from Easy through Nightmare. Each step adds faster enemies, airborne threats, stealth units, boss mechanics, and tighter economy. Bringing the wrong roles — no anti-air, no splash, no EDJ buffs, no Medic sustain — ends runs early even if your DPS towers are maxed.
Available tools
Loadout Checker
Compare your planned roster against what each difficulty expects. The checker breaks roles into early DPS, splash, support (EDJ), Medic healing, anti-air, and Farm economy so you can spot gaps before you queue.
Use it when:
- You keep failing the same wave on Intermediate or Expert
- You unlocked a new tower and wonder where it fits
- You want a checklist before co-op with friends
Cross-reference best loadouts and the tier list for concrete tower picks.
Mode Picker
Choose the next mode to grind based on your account level, unlocked towers, and current goals (gold, XP, crystals, or leaderboard pushes).
Use it when:
- Easy feels solved but Expert wipes you instantly
- You are unsure whether Elite or Endless is the better farm
- You returned after a break and lost track of the progression ladder
How these tools fit the wiki
| Tool | Best for | Also read |
|---|---|---|
| Loadout Checker | Tower role gaps by difficulty | Tier list, Loadouts hub |
| Mode Picker | Next farm target by unlocks | Getting started, Codes |
Redeem codes on the codes page before long grind sessions — free gold, crystals, and consumables stretch early loadouts. For strategy depth beyond checklists, browse the guides hub and patch notes on updates.
Who should use which tool?
Brand-new players — Run the Mode Picker Stage 1 and Stage 2 sections first. They tell you to stay on Easy and Intermediate while unlocking Farm and Missile Trooper. After that, skim the Loadout Checker Easy and Intermediate tables so you know which roles to fill before spending gold on the wrong tower.
Intermediate grinders — Mode Picker Stage 2 and 3 plus Loadout Checker Intermediate and Elite rows. If you triple-fail a wave, compare your roster against the role table; nine times out of ten the fix is economy (Farm) or anti-air, not another DPS tower.
Expert pushers — Loadout Checker Expert row is mandatory reading. Mode Picker Stage 4 tells you when Expert farm beats Endless for crystals. Pair both with best loadouts before you queue Singularity or other boss-heavy maps.
Returning players — Start with Mode Picker Stage 5 and the “Pick by goal” table. Patches add tower perks, discount certain units in Expert, and shift Nightmare modifiers. A loadout that worked six months ago may need EDJ repositioned or an extra Medic after a rework.
Limits
These pages do not read your Roblox inventory. You self-assess which towers you own and which modes you have cleared. When JOHN ROBLOX ships balance changes (tower perks, Expert rework rewards, new Nightmare modifiers), revisit both tools and refresh your plan.
Numbers on the tier list and Fandom may change between visits — tools describe roles, not exact damage values. When a new tower launches, ask which role it fills (splash, anti-air, support) and slot it into the checker mentally before buying.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Do these tools connect to my Roblox account?
No. Everything here is static guidance on the wiki. You mark mentally which towers you unlocked and which modes you beat — nothing is pulled from the game automatically.
Which tool should I use first?
New players: start with the Mode Picker to stay on Easy or Intermediate until core towers are unlocked. Players stuck on Expert: use the Loadout Checker to find missing anti-air, Medic, or EDJ support.
Do tools replace the tier list?
No. The tier list ranks individual tower power. These tools explain which roles you need together for a given difficulty — both pages work best side by side.
